When travelling a lot, it's easy to forget the gym and exercise - after all, there is that mini-bar to raid. However, there are a few simple exercises that you can do in your hotel room to keep you fit and healthy and ready for that business meeting or flight back home.

1) Fill up two water bottles and these will be your weights for the evening!

2) Place a towel on the floor and start doing those sit ups!

3) You can do push ups anywhere so there's no excuse.

Ok - I'm no fitness instructor but you get the point. There are a number of magazines or websites out there that can offer you advice too.

If you are like me and wake up with lots of energy, then there is nothing better than getting up with sunrise and popping to Central Park to have a morning wake up jog. Remember that New York can be freezing in the winter months so it's probably best left until the summer. You won't be the only one who will be there so get your gear on and off you go.
