Don't use American slang - New Yorkers love a British accent and our own idiom.

Very few people in Japan speak English. So if you’re taking a taxi, limo or metro anywhere make sure you ask a polyglot hotel employee to write your destination in Japanese on a card. You may well be utterly screwed otherwise.
